Mitt Romney a Potential 2016 Presidential Candidate?

Over the last few days there have been many articles from right wing conservative news outlets talking about a potential 2016 Presidential run for 2 time defeated candidate Mitt Romney. Although Romney hasn't spoken of this himself, and has essentially ruled it out in previous statements, its beginning to look like a real possibility.

In both the 2008 and 2012 elections Romney made statements that at the time he was mocked for, most of the time by Barrack Obama himself. Watch this clip below at one of the debates in 2012 where Obama mocks Romney for having a foreign policy that he said 1980's called for and asked for it back.

“You said Russia. Not Al Qaida. You said Russia,” Obama said regarding biggest threats. “The 1980s are now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because…the cold war’s been over for 20 years.”
Romney offered a powerful retort: “Russia, I indicated, is a geopolitical foe…and I said in the same paragraph I said and Iran is the greatest national security threat we face. Russia does continue to battle us in the U.N. time and time again. I have clear eyes on this. I’m not going to wear rose-colored glasses when it comes to Russia or Mr. Putin…”
With recent events in Russia and Mr. Putin and surrounding nations it would appear that President Obama was the one that deserved to be mocked.

More recently with all the turmoil in Iraq it has once again proven that Romney was right on another foreign policy issue.
“His foreign policy is what has led to these crises all over the world and trying to recapture the lead, and keeping these kinds of things from happening is going to be a real challenge,” Romney told Fox News on Thursday. “And gosh, I hope the president is able to do that in his last two years. I don’t know how we can go on with a country not having the kind of leadership that it needs. … This is the result of the president’s missteps over the past several years.”

In the documentary "Mitt" which is on Netflix, Romney talked about being the parties candidate and losing in the general election. He said "you are labeled a loser for life". Maybe this doesn't have to be true. Many establishment Republicans are pushing for Romney to make another run in 2016. Joe Scarborough said he is the only one that can fill the stage. It would certainly be unusual for a candidate to be nominated two elections in a row, but people have to be looking back at what Romney said and outlined for his policy and what has happened the last few years and thought "damn, we should have voted for that guy!". I think he is uniquely qualified to be the President in the very fragile time in our nations history. His unique skill set of turning companies and organizations around and bringing people together from both sides of the political isle I think could be monumental in restoring America to the greatness she once possessed.
